This is the part that’s most different – and most convenient – compared to traditional wallets. To take out your cards, hold the miniwallet upside down (with the leather side facing down) and use your thumb to give the cards a first push, “fanning” them out.
Then, when you reach the card you need, use your other hand to pull it completely out through the opening: while your thumb pushes back the cards in front that you don’t need, your other fingers push from behind to extract the one you want.
It sounds more complicated than it actually is – in practice, it takes just a second. The biggest advantage is that if you’re using a card with a contactless chip (like a payment card or travel pass), you don’t even need to take it out completely. Just slide it out halfway so that the chip is fully exposed, tap it on the reader, and then push it back into place. Convenient, isn’t it?
Think, for example, when you’re at the supermarket checkout, still bagging your groceries, with a queue behind you and needing to pay: with Mondraghi, it’s super quick, because in just two seconds you can slide out the chip, tap it on the POS terminal, and you’re done.
